Inni Pärnänen

Inni Pärnänen is a Helsinki based artist and designer. She has graduated as a goldsmith from Lahti Design Institute and completed her Master´s Degree in the Department of Design of the University of Art and Design Helsinki.

 

She is primarily known in the field of jewellery, but has widened her practice through prestigious opportunities also into other realms of design and art. Three-dimensionality and a strong emphasis on structure are characteristic of her work.

 

Her works can be found in many publications as well as in private and public collections, i.a. the Design Museum in Helsinki and CODA Museum in the Netherlands.

The concept consists interlocking units based on pentagon shape that can be gathered into different kind of entities by slipping a piece trough another. 


SUMMER leads to spatial experience and through the repetition of structures, the connection of multiple similar pieces, rhythm with small variations it creates a meditative atmosphere and impression of continuation of nature indoors.
