Elina Honkanen is a visual artitst living and working in Helsinki. Elina studied painting
and drawing at Alfa-Art School of Arts in Helsinki, graduating as a visual artist in 2007.
She started jewelry design studies at Lahti University of Applied Sciences in 2012 and
graduated as a designer in 2016. In 2024 Elina got her masters degree in visual arts from
LAB University. Her work has been exhibited in Finland and abroad and is part of
collections both private and public, including The Finnish State Art Collection.

Elina´s work often focuses on themes such as memories, remembering and the fickle
essence of existence and is effected by the thoughts of shape shifting, change and
disappearing. Elina likes to use familiar shapes and forms because for her they symboloize the fragile concept that is human life.
